The period of accreditation of the service will expire on 16 April 2019. The approved provider of the service meets 44 of the 44 expected outcomes of the Accreditation Standards.

On 2 January 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (NSW) failed to meet one of more expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Uniting Salamander Bay and that this failure has placed, or may place, the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk. The Quality Agency will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.
