An assessment contact was conducted by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) on 28 November 2019 at Bethesda Aged Care Plus Centre to monitor the service’s progress in meeting the Accreditation Standards. The Commission found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards.

Following a re-accreditation audit conducted on 20-22 August 2019 a delegate of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission made a finding that The Salvation Army (Queensland) Property Trust failed to meet one Aged Care Quality Standard (Quality Standard) in relation ot Bethesda Aged Care Plus Centre. On 8 November 2019, a decision was made that failure to meet one Quality Standard has placed the safety, health or well-being of an aged care consumer of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk. Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.
