  12. Serious risk decision

On 16 July 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that failure by Trustees of Catholic Aged Care Sydney to meet one expected outcome in the Accreditation Standards in relation to St Joan Of Arc Hostel has placed the safety, health or wellbeing of care recipients of the service at serious risk. An assessment contact was conducted by the Quality Agency on 3 October 2018 to 4 October 2018 at St Joan Of Arc Hostel to monitor the service’s progress. The Quality Agency found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards. Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time.
