In order to give effect to continuity of accreditation the Department of Health has, under Section 42.5 of the Aged Care Act 1997, made a decision to grant ‘exceptional circumstances’ to this service 27 February 2023. The service remains subject to compliance monitoring by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

On 29 March 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that St Basil's Homes failed to meet one or more expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to St Basil's Randwick and that this failure has placed, or may place, the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk. The Quality Agency will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.
