Following a re-accreditation site audit conducted on 13-14 May 2019, a delegate of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commissioner made a decision that Anglican Community Services failed to meet one expected outcome in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Dorothy Boyt House. On 4 July 2019 a decision was made that failure to meet one expected outcome has placed the safety, health or well-being of an aged care consumer of the service at serious risk. The Department of Health has been notified of the risk. Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time. The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.
