  10. Serious risk decision

On 4 October 2018 a delegate of the CEO of the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency made a decision that Anglican Aged Care Services Group's failure to meet one of the expected outcomes in the Accreditation Standards in relation to Benetas St Paul's Terrace has placed the safety, health or wellbeing of a care recipient of the service at serious risk. An assessment contact was conducted by the Quality Agency on 14 November 2018 at Benetas St Paul's Terrace to monitor the service’s progress. The Quality Agency found the service complies with all Accreditation Standards. Serious risk is not an ongoing state; it is a statutory decision based on evidence at a point in time. The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission will continue to monitor the performance of the service including through unannounced visits.
